Why could Arjuna conquer Karna the greatest warrior?
The war of Mahabharata was over. In the hermitage of Maharishi Jaratkaru, his two disciples were talking. One asked,” Karna was superior to Arjuna in the art of warfare, was prominent among the generous men, had abound spiritual forces in him, still he was defeated by Arjuna?”
Getting no answer, they went to their spiritual Master. The Guru explained,” Arjuna represented the ‘Human’ and SriKrishna symbolised the‘God’. The divine pair of Man & God (Nar-Narayan) always conquers the satanic powers. When Arjuna was about to shed his ‘manliness’, Sri Krishna inspired him and made him stand on his own feet. Karna was surely superior to Arjuna, but the former considered himself omnipotent and didn’t make God his reinforcing partner: so he went unfocused and couldn’t manage himself. He couldn’t get the benefit of the Ultimate. That only became the main reason of his defeat.”
