In hanuman Chalisa it is said
युग सहस्र योजन पर भानु ( Yug Sahasra Yojan par bhanu)
लील्यो ताहि मधु फल जानू ( Lilyo tahi madhu phal janu)
1 yug = 12000 years
1 sahasra = 1000
1 yojan = 8 miles
Yug * Sahasra * Yojan distance covered by hanumanji to Par Bhanu means to reach Sun.
(12000 * 1000 * 8 ) miles distance covered by hanumanji to reach Sun.
96000000 miles distance covered by hanumanji to reach Sun.
1 mile = 1.6 kilometer
so,
96000000 mile = 153600000 kilometer
So in Hanuman Chalisa it is mentioned that Hanuman ji had covered 153,600,000 kilometer distance { युग सहस्र योजन पर भानु ( Yug Sahasra Yojan par bhanu)} from earth to Sun to eat Sun thinking it as a sweet fruit { लील्यो ताहि मधु फल जानू ( Lilyo tahi madhu phal janu) }when he was young .
NASA says that the distance between earth and (Bhanu ) sun is 149,600,000 km (approx) . So 153,600,000 km is almost equivalent to the NASA’s claim as NASA says the distance in approximity. which means Hanumanji did jump from earth to eat sun thinking it as a sweet fruit.
It is really interesting how accurate and meaningful our ancient scriptures are but rarely it is understood and interpreted correctly.

You are correct. But here in the chalisa they had not taken the metric. To make the chalisa poetic or rhyming they had used all such words which was an ancient representation of the years i.e. the Yug. They had taken only the yug here in chalisa as 12000 instead of 12000 years. So if you see while multiplying I had used only the number instead of using the metric too.instead of saying 96000000 mile or 153600000 kilometer directly in Hindi which would have not made the chalisa rhyming so they had used in this way only to make it rhyming. Infact they had taken only the number and not the metric when they consider the Yug in this chalisa. Also in ancient language (Awadhi language) is something different than english which doesnot have much grammar .They combine words just to convey some information. Its the ancient language and it doesnot exist nowadays. Also something similair is also in Sanskrit. in sanskrit the grammar is different than those in hindi and english. In the ancient indian languages like sanskrit,awadhi etc. the words are just combined just to convey some message and if you see it may not be gramatically well connected. Similairly in this hanuman chalisa too they had just used the yug here as to take only the number and not the number with metric.

i think this means — hanuman before leaving to sun for eating, thought that i need 1000 yugas to reach sun . because man can walk about 8 (yojan) x1.6= 12-13 km per hours for this speed hanuman need 1000 yugas to travel upto sun , but hanuman forgot that he has divine power and he covered run upto sun within few time .

as per the story , Hanuman did not forget yet his power when he went to Sun to eat him thinking him as a sweet fruit. He was well aware of his strength till he was cursed by a sage that he will forget his skills.After this incident he was hit by indra and he fell unconscious to earth.Shiva then brought him into consciousness and then all gods gave him all there possible strengths to him as a gift. After some days he (hanuman) did some mischief with some saint and he was cursed that he will forget all his divine powers.It was since then he forgot all his divine powers untill it was reminded by jamwant to jump to srilanka from India to cross the sea.

It was not Shiva who brought Hanuman to consciousness but Brahma because Vyau – the God of Wind after seeing his son Hanuman unconscious decided to withdraw any type of air or oxygen to the universe

I know we cannot multiply.But in those days it was a way of conveying the message.Dont consider the units just take the value as in some places if you donnot know a particular language of that state then the people to convey you a number like 11 they try to convey you in some way or the other like dus pe 1 etc etc.

Yes but Shiva had brought back HAnuman to Consciousness and bestowed several power and rest all god too after that.Then only Vayu started functioning asusual
